Half-day tour to the Tigre Delta

Join us on a charming half-day tour to the scenic Tigre Delta, located north of Buenos Aires. After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and soon afterwards set off on an idyllic cruise along the wide Rio de la Plata, where you can enjoy views of the city’s elegant northern districts. As you sail, the vibrant energy of the metropolis gradually gives way to the calm waterways and lush greenery of the delta. Tigre is famous for its long-standing rowing clubs and its special atmosphere, where life unfolds by the river’s edge.

Upon arrival in Tigre, there’s time to explore the area. Visit the Italian Rowing Club and enjoy traditional Argentine empanadas at the Vivanco restaurant. You’ll then continue to the charming Puerto de Frutos, a lively market packed with local specialities, handicrafts, and inviting stalls. Wander among the colourful stands and experience the local culture. At the end of the 19th century, the harbour served as a trading port where fruit and vegetables were sold when the cargo boats moored here – hence its name, which translates to Fruit Harbour. Today, this historic port is one of Tigre’s most popular meeting places and an ideal spot to soak up the area’s unique character.

The journey back begins on foot, offering a chance to discover even more of Tigre’s highlights. As you stroll along the picturesque Paseo Victorica, an elegant promenade by the water, you’ll pass landmarks such as the Tigre Naval Museum, which reflects the area’s proud maritime heritage. After a fascinating excursion, you’ll be driven back to your hotel – filled with impressions from a different and atmospheric side of Buenos Aires.
