Australia
Full-day excursion to Blue Mountains

Join a full-day excursion to the Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage area west of Sydney, famed for its dramatic rock formations, deep valleys, eucalyptus forests, and breathtaking views. Spanning more than a million hectares, the region offers some of Australia’s most stunning natural scenery.

The name “Blue Mountains” comes from the bluish haze that forms when eucalyptus trees release tiny oil droplets into the air.

The tour sets off from Sydney early in the morning, with the first stop at Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, where you’ll have the chance to encounter both kangaroos and koalas.

From there, the journey continues into the Blue Mountains, where you and your guide will visit scenic viewpoints offering sweeping panoramas over vast valleys and the distinctive sandstone cliffs for which the area is so well known. Along the way, you’ll take short walks through rainforest and eucalyptus forest, soaking up the peaceful atmosphere and keeping an eye out for local wildlife. Your guide will share insights into the region’s geology, history, and the spiritual connection the Indigenous people have with the land. The day’s route is flexible and will be adjusted by the guide according to the weather, traffic conditions, and the group’s composition.

You’ll of course also get to experience the iconic rock formation, the Three Sisters, which rise majestically above Jamison Valley.

Lunch (not included) is enjoyed in one of the charming mountain towns you’ll visit along the way.

You’ll be back in Sydney by late afternoon.
