Sunrise and breakfast in the desert and a visit to Uluru

Experience the silence of the Australian desert before dawn and watch the landscape awaken around you as the sun slowly rises over the Red Centre, with Uluru and Kata Tjuta providing an impressive backdrop.

You’ll be collected from your hotel in Yulara early in the morning and driven through the darkness to a secluded, private lookout in the heart of the desert. From here, you’ll walk approximately 250 metres up a sand dune to a viewing platform, where you’ll enjoy an impressive 360-degree panoramic view of the vast desert landscape, with Uluru and Kata Tjuta on the horizon.

In these unique surroundings, you’ll be served a classic Australian breakfast of bacon and egg rolls, traditional Australian bread with syrup, and tea and coffee.

After breakfast, the tour then continues to the foot of Uluru, where you’ll visit selected sites around the iconic rock formation with your guide. Here, you’ll gain an insight into Uluru’s great cultural significance to the Anangu people and hear about Mala Tjukurpa – one of the Anangu people’s ancient stories associated with Uluru and the landscape surrounding the rock – as well as the traditions connected to the area.

The tour also includes a visit to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the Anangu people’s culture and their strong connection to the area. Afterwards, you’ll return to Yulara, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
