Wintjiri Wiru drone show and sunset dinner – evening

Combine the enchanting Wintjiri Wiru drone show with a stunning sunset and a special open-air dining experience in Australia’s Red Centre.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Yulara approximately 1.5 hours before sunset and driven the short distance out into the desert. From here, you’ll follow a walkway through the landscape to the open-air desert theatre, perched on top of a sand dune with breathtaking views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

The evening begins with a delicious cocktail and a selection of canapés, while the sun slowly approaches the horizon and you take in the spectacular views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

You’ll then be given a hamper filled with Australian specialities and delicious treats, carefully prepared with a focus on local produce and flavours. This is accompanied by premium Australian wine as the last light of day fades and darkness gradually settles over the desert.

Once darkness has fallen, the evening’s Wintjiri Wiru show begins. A chapter from the Anangu people’s ancient Mala story comes to life in the sky and across the landscape around you. Hundreds of choreographed drones, laser lights, and projections combine in a modern interpretation of a story that has been passed down through generations. As you watch, you’ll hear traditional songs and storytelling in the local Pitjantjatjara language.

After the approximately 20-minute show, you will be driven back to your hotel in Yulara.
