Brazil
Paraty’s nature, culture and cachaça production

On this excursion, you’ll experience a wonderful blend of Paraty’s history, nature, and culture.

The excursion begins with an atmospheric jeep ride through the lush rainforest of Serra da Bocaina National Park. With a guide, you’ll follow easy trails through the Atlantic Forest to the beautiful Tobogã and Pedra Branca waterfalls. You’ll often see thrill-seeking locals sliding down the smooth rocks of the falls.

There’s also time for a refreshing swim in the cool water.

The area is famed for its cachaça production, and during the excursion, you’ll visit a local distillery to gain an insight into how this celebrated Brazilian spirit is made from sugar cane and used, among other things, in Brazil’s national drink, the caipirinha. To round things off, you’ll be offered tastings of both cachaça and liqueurs.

Lunch is included and enjoyed at a local restaurant en route.
