Join us for a day full of experiences in the countryside outside Siem Reap, where you’ll travel through areas steeped in centuries-old traditions.

Make your own way to the meeting point at Gingold Coffee, where a short introduction to the day awaits before you’re handed your e-bike. From here, you’ll set off towards the edge of the Angkor archaeological area.

After a scenic 10 km ride, you’ll arrive at a local basket and rattan weaver’s workshop. Here, you’ll gain insight into the ancient craft still kept alive in the villages, and even have the chance to try out the techniques yourself.

The journey continues past lush rice fields and small stilt houses before stopping at a local noodle stall to sample Num Banh Chok – a classic Khmer dish that many Cambodians start their day with.

Continue cycling to a village home, where you’ll pause for snacks and have time to relax. Here, you’ll get an authentic glimpse of daily rural life and feel the calm rhythm that characterises life beyond the city.

You’ll then pass by West Baray, the vast man-made lake dating back to the Angkor era. You’ll drive along its banks, where you can spot local fishermen and birds while enjoying the quiet and the sweeping scenery.

The day rounds off at a local monastery, where you may choose to receive a traditional water blessing and gain an insight into Cambodian Buddhism. You’ll also meet a local healer who shares stories of ancient remedies that are still used today.
