Would you like to experience even more of Patagonia’s untamed wilderness? Then join this unforgettable boat trip through the Última Esperanza Fjord to Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, where mighty glaciers, dramatic mountain scenery, and lush vegetation set the scene for one of Patagonia’s most breathtaking natural experiences.
Early in the morning, you’ll board the boat in Puerto Natales, and your journey will begin through the Última Esperanza Fjord. Along the way, you’ll pass small estancias and waterfalls, while your guide shares fascinating insights into the area’s history and unique natural environment.
Keep an eye out for wildlife as you sail. The fjord is home to cormorants, sea lions, and a variety of seabirds, which are often spotted along the shoreline.
You’ll head towards Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, Chile’s largest National Park and one of the largest in the world, where you’ll experience two of the region’s impressive glaciers. First, you’ll go ashore at the Serrano Glacier and follow a short walking trail through the Patagonian forest to a viewpoint close to the towering wall of ice. Here, you’ll have time to take in the surroundings and admire the glacier up close.
Back on board, a glass of whisky with ice from a glacier thousands of years old is served before the boat continues towards the Balmaceda Glacier. The glacier is admired from the boat’s outdoor deck, offering the best views of the steep rock faces and the blue-white ice cascading down the mountains.
After a day filled with unforgettable experiences, the boat returns to Puerto Natales.
