The charming Monteverde Country Lodge is set in lush greenery in the small village of Santa Elena in the Monteverde area, best known for its cloud forest. The lodge is within walking distance of many local restaurants and various exciting centres for butterflies, insects and snakes.

All 60 rooms at the lodge are inspired by the original style of the first mountain huts in Monteverde, and are furnished with wooden furniture and decorated in warm colours. They are equipped with cable TV, a telephone, a safe, a coffee maker and en suite toilet and shower. Outside the rooms is a shared veranda, where you can sit and relax in one of the chairs.

The lodge’s restaurant serves both traditional Costa Rican dishes and international cuisine. The restaurant is also where your breakfast (included) is served. You may also be lucky enough to experience live music here, played by local artists while you eat or enjoy a glass of wine. In the afternoon, you can relax with a cup of coffee and a good book in the lodge’s lounge area or in the cosy courtyard with fountains, benches and abundant greenery.
