Malahini Kuda Bandos is a small and charming resort where inviting interiors and modern facilities blend naturally with the tropical surroundings of the Maldives. The light-coloured buildings, relaxed communal areas, and colourful details complement the lush vegetation, white sand, and turquoise lagoon. Here, you can enjoy an intimate island experience with plenty of time to unwind, as well as a lovely selection of activities for couples and families alike.
The resort is located on a small, teardrop-shaped island in the North Malé Atoll, just a 10-minute speedboat ride from the airport. The white beaches and clear waters, complete with the island’s own house reef, invite you to relax or get active, while the island’s informal atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings provide the perfect setting for a laid-back holiday.
You will generally stay in a Garden Room surrounded by tropical vegetation. The room is modern in style and features air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, a mini-fridge, a safety box, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries. From your own small terrace, you can also enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and views of the lush banana palms. If you would prefer to stay closer to the sea, you can upgrade to a Superior Room or Deluxe Room, both of which offer partial sea views.
Despite the island’s modest size, Malahini offers a range of activities for those who want to do more than simply laze around. The house reef invites you to snorkel among colourful fish and corals, while you can also glide across the lagoon on a SUP board, paddle a canoe, or try your hand at windsurfing. At the resort’s Marine Hub, you can also book optional experiences such as diving, jet skiing, and boat trips. Alizé Spa, meanwhile, invites you to unwind completely with soothing treatments, while the 24-hour fitness room makes it easy to keep in shape. If you’re travelling with children, Koyya Kids Club offers games and creative activities.
Full board, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is included in your stay. Meals are served at Maaga, where the buffet theme changes from day to day. If you fancy something different one evening, you can enjoy Mediterranean-inspired dishes at Kuredhi, fresh fish and seafood at The Bluu, or a special meal among the treetops at Thali Treetop Dining. All Inclusive can be added if you would like a holiday with even more meals and drinks included.
Round off your days with a drink on the beach as the lagoon’s colours slowly fade. The resort offers live music, films under the stars, karaoke, and cultural evenings, giving you the choice between entertainment and peaceful moments, such as a barefoot stroll along the water’s edge.
