Summer Island Maldives is the ideal retreat for adults and couples looking to slow down, find peace in each other’s company, and enjoy the beauty of the Maldives in stylish, relaxed surroundings. Here, modern comforts meet a laid-back barefoot atmosphere, while paths lined with hibiscus and lush greenery lead you down to the white sands and warm, turquoise waters.
The resort is located in the North Malé Atoll and can be reached by a speedboat ride of approximately 45 minutes from the airport, or in just 15 minutes by seaplane for a supplementary price. The island is surrounded by beautiful beaches and a clear lagoon, where it is easy to find a peaceful spot for a day of sunshine and relaxation. The island does not have a natural house reef, but the resort has created a large 3D-printed coral reef in the lagoon, adding a unique dimension to your stay.
As standard, you will stay in a Superior Room, surrounded by tropical vegetation and featuring a private terrace or balcony with sea views. The room has everything you need, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, a safety box, a mini-fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, while the spacious bathroom offers an open-plan shower, bathrobes, slippers, and luxurious toiletries. You can also upgrade to a Water Villa with direct access to the lagoon, sea views, and a private jacuzzi if you would like to stay right beside the azure waters.
The resort’s impressive infinity pool almost seems to merge with the sea, inviting you to spend peaceful hours in the sunshine. At Firuma by Serena Spa, you can enjoy treatments and yoga sessions in relaxing surroundings overlooking the tropical paradise. You can also explore beneath the waves and snorkel by the 3D-printed coral reef, or join boat trips to the surrounding reefs, where turtles, rays, and reef sharks may appear below the surface. If you’d like to break up the peaceful days with a little more activity, you can also try kayaking, paddleboarding, or windsurfing, or make use of the fully equipped fitness room.
Full board, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is included in your stay. Meals are served in the main restaurant, Samuga, where the buffets offer flavours from around the world alongside live cooking. Throughout the day, you’ll find several beach bars serving refreshing drinks in the tropical heat. If you fancy an extra touch of indulgence, All Inclusive can of course be added, while a dinner beneath the stars on the beach can make your stay even more romantic.
In the evening, head to the elegant Avi restaurant and bar, which stands on stilts above the water. Settle down with a drink and let the warm sea breeze drift across the island as the sky changes colour over the lagoon and live music fills the air.
