On a small peninsula south of Mahebourg, in the southeastern part of Mauritius, lies the four-star resort, Preskil Island Resort.
Preskil is a large hotel boasting 214 rooms, yet due to its unique layout and its exclusive position as the only hotel on the peninsula, it exudes charm and offers plenty of intimate spaces. Naturally, it also provides a host of activities.
The star attraction at Preskil is undoubtedly the beach. It is vast, breathtakingly beautiful, and reserved exclusively for the resort’s guests. There’s ample space for sun loungers both in the sun and the shade, catering to families with children as well as couples seeking tranquillity.
Near the centre of the hotel complex, you’ll find a large pool overlooking the beach. The hotel also features its own jetty, offering excursions to Blue Marine Park and Ile aux Aigrettes nature reserve, located just off the hotel (for an additional fee).
The three on-site restaurants will delight your taste buds, and the bartender is always ready to serve up delicious cocktails.
You can indulge in a soothing massage at the hotel spa, enjoy a game of beach volleyball, or simply relax with a good book overlooking the stunning sea. For the little ones, there’s a kids club and a playground.
The rooms are decorated in light colours, each with a balcony or terrace equipped with furniture.
All rooms come with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, a TV, a hairdryer, and a safety box. If you opt for an upgrade to Prestige Rooms or Junior Suites, an Espresso machine is also included.
The resort is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from the airport, without any disturbance from aircraft noise.
Please note that the east coast of Mauritius can be quite windy during the months of June to August. From September onwards, the winds gradually subside, making the east coast ideal for kite surfing or windsurfing.
