At Red Feather Lodge, you’re just a 1.7-kilometre drive from the rim of the Grand Canyon. Tusayan is a small district that offers hotels, restaurants, a shopping mall and a gas station. Right across from the hotel, you’ll find, among other things, the popular, local steakhouse, but there are also several well-known fast food chains nearby.

Red Feather Lodge consists of both a hotel section and an older motel section. You will only be offered a room in the section of the hotel that was renovated in 2019. This is evident in the attractive rooms, which offer adjustable air conditioning/heating, a coffee machine, a mini fridge, a microwave and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have their own bathroom with a hair dryer.

When you’re not out hiking in the dark red rocky landscape, you can be active in the hotel’s gym or relax by the outdoor pool and jacuzzi (periodically closed depending on the weather). In the cooler months, it can also be nice to let the day’s impressions sink in with a cup of coffee by the fire in the communal living room.
