Tawi consists of 13 “cottages”, all of which are elegantly appointed in a rustic style and oozing charm. All rooms have both a shower and a bathtub in the bathroom, and on the veranda, there’s space to enjoy the book you brought with you. At Tawi, the walls are made of stone, while the doors and windows consist of mosquito nets. So you have the comfort of a proper, brick-built room, while still being able to hear the sounds and smell the aromas outside through the nets. It’s worth noting that the rooms have relatively open bathrooms, so Tawi is best suited to couples.
