South Korea
A full-day tour of Busan's highlights

Experience Busan’s many contrasts on an exciting full-day tour, where historic temples, colourful neighbourhoods, and scenic coastal areas provide the setting for a day filled with culture, history, and sea air.

You’ll meet your guide at Busan Station, from where you’ll set off towards some of the city’s most distinctive sights. Your first stop will be Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in eastern Busan. While many Korean temples are surrounded by forest-covered mountains, this one enjoys a truly unique setting overlooking the coast, with waves crashing against the rocks below. Here, you can soak up the peaceful atmosphere, admire the colourful temple buildings, and learn about the site’s significance in Korean Buddhism.

Next, you’ll continue to Busan’s modern coastal area around Haeundae Beach. Here, you’ll board the colourful Songjeong Beach Train, which follows the coastline at a leisurely pace. Along the way, views open out across the sea, wide sandy beaches, and the modern coastal landscape as the train glides calmly through the area. Sit back, feel the sea’s presence, and listen as your guide tells you about Haeundae’s transformation from a coastal area into one of Busan’s most popular meeting places.

At lunchtime, you’ll have some time to yourself at Haeundae Beach. You can find a local restaurant and sample some of Busan’s many specialities, perhaps fresh fish and seafood, milmyeon, or a warming noodle dish. Your guide will be happy to offer recommendations, helping you enjoy a memorable taste of the city’s maritime cuisine.

Afterwards, the tour then continues to Gamcheon Culture Village, where colourful houses climb up the hillside and narrow alleyways wind their way between small galleries, works of art, shops, and cafés. Along the way, your guide will tell you about the area’s history and its transformation from a modest residential neighbourhood into one of Busan’s most distinctive cultural areas. From the many viewpoints, you can look out over the densely packed houses and see how art and everyday life blend together in the steep streets.

The final experience of the day will be Songdo Cloud Trails, where an impressive walkway extends out over the sea. Feel the sea breeze on your face as Busan’s skyline, rock formations, and blue waves create a spectacular panorama around you. It’s a beautiful way to end a day filled with Korean temple tranquillity, modern coastal life, and colourful hillside neighbourhoods.

The tour will end back at Busan Station after an eventful day exploring Busan’s many contrasts, from the sea and mountains to its culture and vibrant city life.
