Welcome to Buenos Aires, Argentina’s charming capital, often described as the Paris of South America thanks to its broad boulevards, atmospheric neighbourhoods, and impressive architecture.

You’ll be greeted at the airport by your guide, who, together with your driver, will take you to your centrally located hotel. The journey takes around an hour depending on traffic, and along the way, you’ll be given information about your tour and will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish – you might like to unwind after your flight or head out to start exploring Argentina’s lively capital. Perhaps you’ll take a stroll around the local area, enjoy a coffee at a café, or find a cosy restaurant where you can sample some of Argentina’s culinary delights for the first time.

Get ready to experience some of the most iconic sights in Argentina’s capital today.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken on an exciting city tour of Buenos Aires.
The tour begins in the city’s historic and political heart at Plaza de Mayo, which for centuries has been the setting for some of Argentina’s most significant events. Here, you’ll see the famous pink presidential palace, Casa Rosada.

You’ll then continue to the charming neighbourhood of San Telmo, known for its cobbled streets, historic buildings, and authentic atmosphere. This is also where you’ll find the famous San Telmo Market, a vibrant spot filled with local delicacies, handicrafts, and antiques.

The tour then continues to La Boca, where brightly painted houses along the famous Caminito Street create an unmistakable atmosphere. The area was originally an old shipyard where poor workers built their homes from leftover materials and ship paint. There was rarely enough paint to cover an entire house, leaving the neighbourhood with its patchwork of bold colours. The lively district exudes energy, music, and local culture, and you’ll immediately sense the city’s deep passion for tango.

Along the way, you’ll also visit Puerto Madero, the city’s former port area, which has been transformed into a modern district with stylish buildings, restaurants, and waterfront promenades.
The journey will continue through the leafy Palermo area, where you’ll pass some of the city’s most famous parks and attractions, including the botanical gardens, the planetarium, the racecourse, and Argentina’s renowned polo field.

The city tour will end in elegant Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires’ most exclusive neighbourhoods. The grand mansions, wide boulevards, and French architectural features bear witness to the wealth that earned the city the nickname “the Paris of South America”. In Recoleta, there is a stop at the cemetery where many famous Argentinians are buried, including Eva Perón – the beloved First Lady, better known as “Evita”.

The tour will take place in a minibus with several stops along the way.

In the afternoon, you’ll return to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is free to spend as you wish.

In Palermo, you can enjoy a leisurely café-hopping experience or visit one of the many lush parks such as “El Rosedal” with its stunning rose garden, the “Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays” botanical gardens, or the “Jardín Japonés”, one of the largest Japanese gardens outside Japan.

Take a stroll through the elegant streets of the exclusive Recoleta district, or immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of San Telmo, where historic buildings, art galleries, and small shops shape the cityscape. If shopping is on your agenda, the popular pedestrian street Calle Florida in Microcentro is the perfect place to browse boutiques, department stores, and encounter local street performers.

Art and culture enthusiasts can visit some of the city’s many museums, including the renowned MALBA Museum of Latin American Art, the impressive Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, or the Museo Evita, which tells the story of Argentina’s iconic First Lady, Eva Perón.

Buenos Aires is also a true paradise for food lovers. Savour traditional Argentine favourites such as empanadas, milanesas, and, of course, the famed Argentine steaks at one of the local parrillas (grill restaurants), accompanied by a glass of wine from the Mendoza region. Don’t forget to try the beloved alfajores — biscuits filled with dulce de leche that can quickly become addictive. You should also sample mate, the herbal drink adored by Argentines and almost always seen in the hands of the locals — known as Porteños — who call Buenos Aires home.

You can’t think of Argentina without thinking of tango. Buenos Aires is the perfect place to experience a genuine Argentine tango show, where soulful music and dance intertwine, performed by talented musicians and dancers.

You’ll leave Buenos Aires and fly to Puerto Iguazú, located close to the borders of Paraguay and Brazil. Here, you can look forward to incredible natural experiences at the breathtaking Iguazú Falls, set in the heart of the lush rainforest.

Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel, beautifully situated in the rainforest just outside Puerto Iguazú.

The Iguazú Falls are nothing short of a natural wonder, and it’s no surprise they are listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. To fully appreciate their beauty, you’ll need to experience the falls from both the Argentine and the Brazilian sides.

The Iguazú Falls form one of the world’s largest waterfall systems, comprising 275 cascades of varying sizes stretching over a 2.7 km horseshoe-shaped section along the Iguazú River. The waterfalls often merge, tumbling noisily over cliffs that rise up to 85 metres high.

Most of the falls are on the Argentine side, where a network of trails, stairways, and walkways guides you through the rainforest to numerous stunning viewpoints. The lush surroundings are home to a fascinating variety of wildlife and vegetation, and your guide will share insights into the rich natural environment as you explore the national park.

A small train takes you to the most spectacular of them all – the Devil’s Throat, La Garganta del Diablo. Looking down into the roaring abyss, where millions of litres of water disappear, is a truly thrilling experience – and you’re almost guaranteed to get a little wet.

Due to strong winds and rising water levels caused by the El Niño weather phenomenon, the Argentine park authorities have decided, for safety reasons, to temporarily remove the walkways to Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). This applies from 3 August 2026 and for approximately four months thereafter. However, a visit to the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls remains a truly spectacular experience, allowing you to get up close to the magnificent waterfalls from the park’s other trails and viewpoints.

Before continuing your journey to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, you’ll experience the waterfalls from the Brazilian side. You’ll cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge, which links the Argentinian city of Puerto Iguazú with the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu, and continue to the national park. As you’ll be crossing the border, remember to bring your passport.

Although most of the waterfalls are located on the Argentinian side, it’s from the Brazilian side that you’ll enjoy the most spectacular panoramic views of the falls.

You’ll follow a short, paved trail through the rainforest, allowing you to admire the waterfalls from different angles. A longer walkway leads you out of the jungle to a viewing platform right in front of the Devil’s Throat. Here too, you can expect to get thoroughly soaked by the mist from the roaring waterfall.
From another viewing platform – accessible either by walking or taking a lift – you’ll be rewarded with another breath-taking panoramic view.

There’s a good chance of spotting beautiful butterflies, exotic plants, and birds, and not least, the curious little coatis that roam the park in search of food.

After your visit to the park, you’ll be driven to the airport in Foz do Iguaçu and fly to the samba capital, Rio de Janeiro.

Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Rio is both wonderful and chaotic all at once, capable of giving even the most seasoned traveller butterflies – in the best possible way. To ensure you get the perfect start in this iconic city, our local partner will stop by your hotel for a short welcome meeting of around 30–60 minutes. Together, you’ll go through your tour, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Rio and Brazil.

At midday, you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a city tour of Rio’s most famous attractions. You’ll visit the charming neighbourhoods of Santa Teresa and Lapa and continue towards Rio’s world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue, which stands on top of Corcovado Mountain at a height of 710 metres, overlooking the city. From here, you’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city’s many beaches, colourful favelas, and the legendary Maracanã Stadium. Lunch is not included on this tour, but you’ll have the chance to buy a sandwich or other snacks along the way.

The tour ends with a visit to the 396-metre-high mountain, Pão de Açúcar, also known as Sugarloaf Mountain. A cable car will take you first to Urca Mountain and then on to the summit. It’s often said that Rio boasts one of the most beautiful settings in the world, so you can look forward to the breathtaking panoramic views awaiting you at the top.

After an eventful day, you’ll be driven back to your hotel, with the rest of the evening free for you to spend as you wish.

Rio is a vibrant metropolis bursting with possibilities, and over the next few days, you’ll have time to explore the city’s buffet of unforgettable experiences at your own pace.
